Gavin gave a facinating insight into the world of a farrier, thank you to Gavin for spending so much time on the presentation.
Gavin has represented Great Britian in Farrier competitions, and discussed both his current work, some of this not for the squeamish…. and his experience in the industry.
Before this evening, whilst we were aware that farriers shod horses, however seeing the array of different Horse Shoes, how they are fitted and the process surrounding this was facinnating.

Hi all, well the farrier evening was very interesting. We certainly learned a lot about horses and their feet. Didn’t realise that their shoes were changed so often. Thank you Gavin for the horseshoe which will go onto my shed and hopefully bring us lots of luck in the future. Cheers, C&M.
